That’s how far—literally—Texas House Democrats are going to defend democracy.

Over the weekend, more than 50 Democratic state representatives hopped on buses to leave the state and disrupt Republicans’ attempt to redraw the state’s congressional maps.

Now, those same Republicans who are willing and ready to undermine voters have issued civil arrest warrants for the state representatives who are taking a stand to protect democracy. And this morning, Senator Cornyn announced the FBI has agreed to his request to track down lawmakers who have left the state.

At the behest of Trump, Texas Republicans are doing everything they can to disempower your vote. The stakes are high, and we can’t crush their plans without your help. Take to social media and share what’s happening in Texas with your community.

This fight may have started in the Lone Star state, but it could be headed to states across the country soon.

Right now, five other Republican-led states are drafting plans to follow the lead of Texas and disempower their voters to maintain power in Washington. They know the only way they’ll win is if they pick their voters, putting their thumbs on the scale of every election from 2026 and beyond, never once facing a consequence at the ballot box.

Voters should pick their representatives, not the other way around.
