[ [link removed] ]MoveOn Official Ballot
Dear MoveOn member,
We're now less than five months away from Election Day 2020, and for many
of us, this may be the most important election of our lifetime.
Donald Trump has done more damage to our country than any other president
in modern history. There's no getting around that. But we now have an
opportunity to resoundingly reject his racist, hateful ideas for our
country and, instead, work to build a nation that is welcoming to all and
provides everyone the means to live a life of dignity and fulfill their
potential.
This decision of whether we should support Vice President Joe Biden is in
your hands. MoveOn endorses candidates for office only by a vote of MoveOn
members. It's who we are.
Here’s your official, personal ballot, where you can vote now on whether
we should endorse Vice President Joe Biden in the presidential race.
Voting is open now through Tuesday, June 30 at noon ET. But don't wait;
vote right now. We can't make this decision without you.
[ [link removed] ]Yes, MoveOn should endorse Vice President Joe Biden for president.
[ [link removed] ]No, MoveOn should not do that.
A MoveOn endorsement means votes, volunteers, fundraising, and enthusiasm
heading into this final stretch before November.
We have already heard loud and clear from MoveOn members that you want us
to go all in to defeat Trump, and we are committed to working to do that.
But we believe that work will be stronger if it is paired with a formal
endorsement of Joe Biden via our longstanding member-led process. If
two-thirds—a supermajority—of votes cast are in favor, Vice President
Biden will earn our formal endorsement and the grassroots support that it
represents.
This is a big decision, maybe the biggest we’ll make all year—and your
vote matters. What will our community decide?
Thanks for all you do.
–Chris, Allison, Rahna, Reggie, and the rest of the team
