Utah is at a pivotal moment. As coal becomes obsolete, we have an opportunity to shape the future of energy in our state. This is a time to focus on our communities and how we meet future energy needs with solutions that are clean, reliable, and resilient. I’m excited to help lead that effort—working alongside community members, local leaders, and state officials to build a better energy future.
My passion for this work is rooted in my upbringing here in Utah. I earned an undergraduate degree in environmental sustainability through the University of Utah and fell in love with the intersection of land conservation and clean energy. During my time obtaining my degree, I listened to a podcast called How to Save a Planet, where one of the co-hosts often said that “policy is her love language.” That stuck with me—and eventually, I found my own love for energy policy. I came to see just how much our electricity system impacts climate change, our environment, and our quality of life, and this is the space that I wanted to make a positive impact on.
I truly believe that the future of our communities—whether we thrive or survive—depends on where and how we choose to source our energy.
I’m beyond excited to step into this role full-time and continue working with all of you to ensure Utah’s energy future is clean, reliable, and community-driven. I can’t wait to see what we accomplish together!
