The Guardian, outlining the need for a new approach to relations with our
European neighbours.

Poll after poll shows people are feeling the terrible damage done by the
Conservatives’ botched Brexit deal. Less than a third of Britons would vote to
leave if the referendum were repeated today.

Meanwhile, people have lost faith in politics. Disillusionment is fuelling
rightwing populism.

In this context, Ed has a clear message for Keir Starmer - now’s your chance
to change course.

No more talk of ‘working towards’ new deals with the EU - we need more action.

No more tip-toeing around the Conservatives and Reform - we need to take them
head on.

This moment calls for ambition - that’s why Ed calls for a new customs union
with the EU - the single biggest thing the Government could do to turbocharge
our economy, setting us on a path back to the Single Market.

This would make it easier to achieve other big wins, like a veterinary and
plant health agreement to boost British farming, and a youth mobility scheme to
allow young people to live, work and travel across Europe.
