Hi Supporter I'm Gareth, the Policy and Projects Officer here at Campaign for National Parks, and this Saturday I'll be running the length of the eastern Cleddau river in Pembrokeshire Coast National Park.
While I am a keen runner this 45km challenge is more than just a jolly through a National Park, I'm running because the Cleddau is being pushed to the brink by pollution.
Pembrokeshire Coast is one of my favourite places and I love bringing my family here to explore the coast and play in the sea. But with slurry from farms and sewage polluting the river which then flows into the ocean, we need change and we need it now.
At Campaign for National Parks we're working to bring forward new regulations to clean up National Park waterways as a priority. Please help us fully protect rivers in National Parks by sponsoring my run, thank you.
From,
Gareth Ludkin
Policy and Projects Officer
