This year, the students that we worked with produced a story about addiction, finding community, and recovery — focusing on non-profit Minnesota Recovery Connection.
The bright group of students that made up our team were Alaia Scroggins (video editor), Smit Bhardwaj (producer), and Muhammed Memon (writer). They were assisted by Chenue Her (TV anchor at FOX 9), Bill Wareham (retired MPR), Marielle Mohs (WCCO), Yasmin Yassin (visual artist), and Niko Georgiades (Unicorn Riot).
