Hi John, I wanted to make sure you saw this —
We can still stop fossil fuel companies from drilling in the Amazon
   rainforest.
Yes, the Brazilian government just auctioned off parts of the Amazon to
fossil fuel companies in June^1, but here’s the catch: Those fossil fuel
companies can’t afford to start drilling without money from big U.S. banks
   — like Citibank.
That’s why we’re raising the voice of every single person who cares about
our planet to demand that Citibank stop bankrolling fossil fuel
destruction in the Amazon. [ [link removed] ]Make your voice heard today.

Citibank is based here in the U.S., but it’s one of the top funders of oil
and gas projects in the Amazon.^2 We can’t let that stand. As climate
activists, we need to stand in solidarity with Indigenous Peoples and
traditional communities who are fighting back against the destruction of
   their land.
[ [link removed] ]Let's make sure Citibank hears our demands loud and clear: Stop
   destroying the Amazon!
   In solidarity,

Citibank is bankrolling Amazon rainforest destruction
   To: John [

   John -
Last month, the Brazilian government sold off parts of the Amazon
rainforest to fossil fuel companies for drilling.^1
But we can still stop this. Without money from big U.S. banks like
Citibank, these destructive projects can’t go ahead.
That’s why we’re calling on Citibank, one of the top financiers of fossil
fuel destruction in the Amazon^2, to stop funding oil and gas expansion in
this vital rainforest. [ [link removed] ]Will you add your name to our demands now?

Despite their claims of fighting biodiversity loss and exploitation of
Indigenous Peoples, Citibank continues to fund fossil fuel projects in the
Amazon region that further destroy our climate and displace Indigenous
   Peoples and local communities.^3
People all over the world are suffering the impacts of the climate crisis
   — from entire islands in the Pacific threatened by rising sea levels, to
countries across the Northern Hemisphere experiencing life-threatening
heat waves, to communities in Central Texas that were just devastated by
   the recent floods.
We need to stand in solidarity with Indigenous Peoples and Traditional
communities, who are coming together to fight back against the destruction
of their home and instead are fighting for a just, community-led renewable
energy transition. Join us in sending a strong message to Citibank now to
make sure they stop funding this destruction.
