Recently, I held a roundtable discussion with representatives from Community Mental Health Centers and Federally Qualified Health Centers to discuss the devastating cuts to Medicaid in Republicans’ recently passed budget.
Everyone at the table, from frontline providers to patient advocates, agreed: Medicaid is a lifeline for millions of Americans, including thousands of families right here in Northwest Indiana. These cuts aren’t just reckless, they’re dangerous. And they put our most vulnerable neighbors at even greater risk.
Let me make one thing clear: I will not back down in advocating to reinstate these cuts to Medicaid. If you’re with me, will you sign on to our petition?
Too many families are already struggling to get the care they need. Slashing Medicaid will only deepen health disparities, overwhelm community health centers, and force people to delay or forgo critical care.
I will always be an advocate and a partner in not backing down in making sure we reinstate the funding for Medicaid that Republicans just cut.
We need leaders in Congress who will protect Medicaid and stand up for every American who counts on this critical program. If you agree that we need to urgently reinstate these devastating cuts to Medicaid, will you sign on?
Thank you,
Frank Mrvan
