Listen, I represent one of the most competitive districts in the entire country, so I understand swing voters. And despite what the political pundits may think, swing voters don’t want us to stay silent on every controversial issue, terrified that our position could upset someone. If 2024 taught us one thing, it’s this: We can’t expect voters to support us if we’re too scared to speak our minds — if we’re too concerned about being “the lesser of two evils” than standing up for what we believe in. As Democrats, we can’t be afraid. We HAVE to show the American people we’re willing to be bold, decisive — and yes, antagonizing when we need to be.
