John, it's the team here at Maine Dems. As we write this, our fellow Democrats in Texas are facing an unprecedented attack.

First → Donald Trump demanded that Texas Republicans redraw their state maps to ensure Republicans would pick up five more congressional seats.

Then → Texas Dems bravely broke quorum to stop Republicans from stealing the 2026 midterm elections with their new, unfair maps.

In addition to being away from their family (and jobs) for as long as this may take, they are also being fined $500 a day and will be lambasted with negative ads in their district, funded by Governor Greg Abbott.

Now → Greg Abbott has ordered these Democrats to be arrested.

This is a dark example of what Republican leaders are willing to do to hold on to power at the expense of the American people.

We cannot let this become another domino in our descent from free and fair elections, and if Texas Dems are going to be able to hold out long enough for this to count, they're going to need our help.

Maine Dems know that we're more powerful when we stick together. This isn't just a fight for Texas alone — it's a fight for Democratic values everywhere. So we need to rise to the moment and fight for Democracy.

Texas Dems are bravely doing their part to protect voters and stand up against this blatant power grab. Maine Dems are standing with them. Will you do your part by splitting a donation between us and Texas Dems right now so we can keep holding the line together?
