The EPA just announced plans to repeal a 15-year-old policy that allows it to regulate greenhouse gases

Folks, Trump’s attacks on science and the fundamental functions of our federal government are getting worse and worse.

NPR: Trump EPA moves to end regulation of greenhouse gases that fuel climate change

Trump’s Environmental Protection Agency just announced plans to deregulate greenhouse gases by repealing the scientific finding that fossil fuels contribute to climate change — effectively stripping the federal government of its most powerful tool to fight the climate crisis.

Look, John has been a leader on this issue for years. Whether it’s capping orphan wells, reforming gas pipelines, or curbing methane emissions, John’s fought tooth and nail to reduce air pollution and tackle the climate crisis head on — and he won’t let Republicans surrender our progress without a fight.

Coloradans can see just as plainly as anyone that our summers are getting hotter, wildfires are more common and increasingly dangerous, and extreme weather is on the rise. Weakening the EPA in the midst of a climate crisis is pure lunacy.

By denying science and killing the EPA’s ability to regulate planet-warming pollution, Trump and the Republicans are once again putting special interests and powerful lobbyists over the interests of everyday Americans — and every living being on the planet.

It’s up to us to stand up for our planet. If you’re with us, sign your name next to John’s and demand the EPA do its job to fight climate change →
