In recent weeks we’ve been sharing much good news with you about how the Social
Conservative movement has been advancing this year. But this email is a different story, and you won’t believe
what we have to share with you. Pro-Family Leader Jailed in New York In a chilling act of political retaliation, New York
Attorney General Letitia James has used her office to go after one of our own— simply
for standing up for life and biblical values . Jason McGuire, executive director of New York Families
Foundation (the Family Policy Council in New York), has just completed his
second of eight weekends in jail. His crime?
Leading a Christian,
pro-life ministry that dared to oppose the radical abortion agenda
pushed
by state leadership. Jason put it plainly: “Letitia James weaponized her office to target me because
I dared to speak against her radical, pro-abortion policies. For more than
three years, her office harassed my family, my staff, and my ministry—demanding
donor lists, monitoring bank accounts, and threatening my wife… This is not
justice. It’s political retribution.” Let that sink in. A peaceful ministry leader has been jailed—for his
beliefs.
His family and team have endured years of pressure, audits,
and surveillance. And his story is just the latest example of government
officials turning their power against social conservatives. This isn’t just about New York.
This is about the
future of religious freedom, donor privacy, and the ability to speak the truth
without fear. If it can happen in the Empire State, it can happen
anywhere. And we know the opposition is watching—hoping to silence and
intimidate others who take a public stand for life, family, and faith. But we will not be silenced. We’re standing in prayer and solidarity with Jason, his
family, and our friends at
New York Families Foundation , who are
continuing the work in one of the toughest cultural environments in the
country. They need your support—and so does the national Family Policy Council
movement that is standing in the gap in all 50 states.
