From the minute I wake up, I think about the people we’re serving and what we’re fighting for — and how we can do even better. That’s been true for over a decade, when I served as a member of the Planned Parenthood board, but has been especially true every day for the past year, as I have served as Acting president and CEO of Planned Parenthood Federation of America.

I can’t imagine spending my time any other way. So when the Board asked me to remain in this position permanently, I accepted without hesitation.

Together, we will improve access to care. We will innovate. We will take on the hard work of defending access to safe and legal abortion against historic threats. We will reckon with racism in our fight for greater equity in health care delivery, and in the world. We will fight for the rights of all people — no matter who they are or where they live. No matter what.

I couldn’t be more honored to be doing this work alongside all of you. Planned Parenthood is yours. We are shaped for the better by you. Our power comes from you. Thank you.
