I'm excited to endorse my good friend, the one and only Mark Warner, for re-election to the United States Senate. I had the honor of working on his team when he was Governor of Virginia and I got to see up close what strong and effective governing looks like. Under Mark's leadership, Pew Charitable Trusts ranked Virginia as one of the best-managed states in the nation -- and it's clear why. Mark was an advocate for every Virginian during his time as governor, working to expand rural broadband, increase job opportunities in the Commonwealth, and make health care more affordable. He's continued to advocate for us in the Senate.

Mark's work in the U.S. Senate has continued to move Virginia forward and has paved the way for dozens of great new Democratic leaders across the Commonwealth. Just look at what happened in the last General Assembly election! Since taking back both houses in January, we have done more in one legislative session to improve life in the Commonwealth than the other party had during their two decades of control. This session, the General Assembly passed legislation that strengthens our democracy, makes our environment cleaner, our communities safer and so much more.

I'm extremely proud of what we've all accomplished together. And as long as Mark is in the Senate fighting for us, I know we can continue to move Virginia forward. But his re-election is not certain. Republican Daniel Gade was just nominated to replace him and is eager to undo the progress that Mark -- and all of us -- have fought so hard to achieve in Virginia.

We need to do everything we can to keep Mark in the Senate and to keep moving Virginia forward. Will you join me right now in supporting Mark's re-election?
