Despite Indigenous Peoples and local activists calling for the government to drop the project, they are pushing it through without respect for local residents.

The Amazon rainforest is crucial to our fight against the climate crisis — it absorbs more carbon than it produces, supports rich biodiversity, and is home to many Indigenous Peoples.
We are already seeing record-breaking climate disasters happening in the U.S. and around the world. Allowing fossil fuel companies to further destroy the Amazon will only make the situation worse.
