Hi John, My name is Lauren Miller Rogen. You may know me as a screenwriter, director, producer, and care activist – or maybe you’re familiar with my husband, Seth Rogen.
I’m also the daughter of Adele, a loving mother and former teacher who was diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer's disease at 55 years old. Alongside my father and brother, Seth and I helped care for my mother for over 15 years as she battled the disease.
Seth and I decided to share our story in a new documentary called Taking Care – to show that everyone will eventually need or receive care, and that when we come together, we can make a difference for the future of care in this country.
Seth and I are partnering with Caring Across Generations to host a free virtual screening and conversation about Taking Care on Wednesday, August 13 at 4pm PT/7pm ET via Zoom. Can you join us?

Becoming caregivers changed our lives and made us realize just how broken the care system in our country really is – even for a family like ours that had so many resources. And, as a society, we don’t talk about this enough. That makes the care journey even harder.
Taking Care shares an authentic look at the challenges and beautiful moments we experienced together as a family through this journey. And what we went through isn’t unique. If you’re navigating caregiving or receiving care, I hope you can also see yourself in this film.
RSVP here to join Seth and me as we talk about the film and our experience, and why we must act now to change the future of care. During this virtual screening, we’ll have ASL, CART, and Spanish language interpretation.
If you’ve ever given or received care, you know that the fight for care is deeply personal and political. We have so much to fight for, especially now. It’s time to come together, share our stories, and act.
See you soon,
Lauren Miller Rogen Co-Founder, Hilarity for Charity for Caring Across Generations
