Fighting for democracy and freedom isn’t something we can only do when it is easy or convenient.

In June, when millions took to the streets to protest the Trump Administration’s brazen immigration crackdown, America made its voice heard loud and clear: There are No Kings in America.

That’s why this past weekend, when cowardly masked Neo-Nazis in red shirts and black pants hoisting Nazi swastikas wanted to disrupt a peaceful pro-democracy rally where I was scheduled to speak, I knew people would stand strong—and that’s exactly what happened. Great credit is owed to the organizers and all who participated.

I am going to be blunt with you: There is no room for this kind of hatred and intolerance in America. I will always stand against hate.

I am proud to be a Democrat. I am proud to be an Army officer. I am proud to be from the great state of New Hampshire, the ‘Live Free or Die’ state. I am proud to have chased down and held accountable war criminals. And I am proud to stand with you, and millions of Americans who refuse to give up and let the Neo-Nazis, fascists, white supremacists, and MAGA extremists who seek to turn our free society into an authoritarian nightmare.

I am running for Congress in New Hampshire’s 1st District to fight for these values. This district is a true swing seat—but Democrats have been able to win here (sometimes narrowly) since 2016 by nominating strong candidates who don’t run away from our values or avoid tough issues. 

I was taught in the Army to run toward a challenge and to take difficult things head-on. That’s how we’re going to win this campaign and flip the House this Midterm.
