[link removed] [[link removed]] John,
Five days after taking the oath of office, Paul Atkins, the chair of the SEC, reportedly attended the launch party for Executive Branch, Donald Trump Jr.’s new private social club.
And CREW found [[link removed]] that less than two months later, the SEC granted approval for a Don Jr.-backed gun company, GrabAGun, to go public.
The company now trades as PEW on the New York Stock Exchange, following its merger with a special purpose acquisition company backed by Omeed Malik—who has donated more than $100,000 to support Donald Trump and is Don Jr.'s business partner in the club, named Executive Branch.
This latest business venture by the president’s adult son adds to the growing list of companies entangling the Trump family’s political power and personal profit.
CREW is working to uncover the Trump family’s profiteering and we’re determined to hold Trump, his administration, and his family accountable. If you want to help power our fight, please donate today and support CREW’s critical work → [[link removed]]DONATE → [[link removed]]
GrabAGun, which has pitched itself as the “Amazon of guns,” is looking to target a Gen Z audience by giving young people “the opportunity to purchase a firearm pretty much anywhere they are.”
The company has touted its political connections, and acknowledged that it could trade above “where the fundamentals would suggest it would,” as a result of a “cult of personality”—drawing a parallel with Elon Musk’s companies.
GrabAGun and its ties to Don Jr. is yet another example of the Trump family apparently capitalizing on their political connections for personal profit.
Don Jr. also sits on the board of a drone company [[link removed]] called Unusual Machines, which now stands to benefit from the $1.4 billion allocated to small drone production in Trump's budget bill.
And Eric Trump is on the board of a Bitcoin mining company [[link removed]] that’s going public soon, as his father is pushing Bitcoin-friendly policies.
Not to mention President Trump’s own use of the presidency [[link removed]] for free publicity for his properties, including last week at the grand opening of his new golf course in Scotland.
At CREW, we’re continuing to unearth and shine a light on Trump and his family’s profiteering and ethics issues. Our work is powered by grassroots supporters like you, so if that’s a mission you believe in, donate today and join our fight against corruption → [[link removed]]
