What we're facing today isn't just poor policy -- it's a spiritual crisis that threatens the very soul of our nation.

In just the past two years, over one million abortions have occurred -- more than 63% of them through chemical abortion. That's over 630,000 unborn children whose lives were ended by a process deceptively marketed as safe, simple, and private.

What is shocking is that most of the drug induced abortions are in states that have adopted laws protecting the unborn.

Chemical abortion, in addition to being deadly for the unborn, is neither safe nor simple for women either. It often occurs in isolation, with no physician present, leaving them vulnerable to trauma, medical emergencies, and coercion. And now, we're learning that over 8,000 abortion drug packages are being shipped every month into pro-life states -- places where voters have rightly chosen to protect life.

This is not a state-by-state battle anymore. This is a coordinated assault on the rule of law and the sanctity of life.

While the Biden-Harris administration dismantled minimum safety requirements for mifepristone, the Trump administration can easily stop it -- but believers need to urge the Trump administration to act!

The church isn't called to be spectators of evil--we must be participants in stopping it! That's why last week, I sent a letter alongside Baptist pastors and leaders from 22 states calling on President Trump to end this dangerous federal policy.

To the Trump Administration:

We, the undersigned, urge you to take immediate and decisive action to end the Biden-era policies that have allowed dangerous abortion drugs to be shipped across state lines - undermining pro-life laws, endangering women, and violating federal law.

Following the Supreme Court's Dobbs decision, numerous states acted to protect unborn children and their mothers by enacting strong pro-life laws. But those protections are being defied and overridden by the reckless policies left in place from the Biden Administration.

The Biden FDA removed bare minimum safety protocols for mifepristone, a drug now responsible for the majority of U.S. abortions. The Department of Justice has issued a legally baseless opinion refusing to enforce the Comstock Act (18 U.S.C. §§ 1461-62), which plainly prohibits the mailing of abortion drugs.

THIS MUST STOP.

We call on your administration to:

Restore and strengthen FDA safety standards for mifepristone, including:

In-person dispensing by a certified physician
Mandatory ultrasound to confirm gestational age and rule out ectopic pregnancy
Enforcement of the original 49-day gestational limit
Required follow-up appointment to assess complications
Mandatory reporting of all adverse events to the FDA

Direct the Department of Justice to enforce federal law, including:

Reinstating enforcement of the Comstock Act to prohibit the interstate shipment of abortion-inducing drugs
Supporting states in upholding their pro-life laws without interference from out-of-state abortion providers or "shield laws"

Women deserve real healthcare, not abortion drug trafficking through their mailbox. States deserve the right to protect life without sabotage by federal agencies. And federal law must be enforced - not ignored.

We urge you to act swiftly to protect life, restore legal accountability, and end this lawless abortion-by-mail regime.
