The Video Game History Foundation announced today that we’ve acquired the rights to Computer Entertainer, one of the first ever video game magazines.
We’ve digitized the entire run of the magazine and released it into the Creative Commons for anyone to use, for any reason, forever.

Edited by sisters Marylou Badeaux and Celeste Dolan, Computer Entertainer was the only American home console game magazine that kept running during the 80s video game industry crash.
As a result, Computer Entertainer was one of the few publications in the United States that covered pivotal events in gaming history like the launch of the Nintendo Entertainment System and the debut of Super Mario Bros.
