Notice of Public Meeting, Town of Kaycee, WY, Lead Service Line Investigation, Tank Rehabilitation, and Meter Replacement Projects

The Town of Kaycee, Wyoming, will conduct a public meeting at 7:00 pm, local time, on August 26th, 2025, in the Kaycee Town Hall Council Chambers. The purpose of the meeting is to allow citizens to review and comment on the following projects: Town of Kaycee – Lead Service Line Investigation Project, Tank Rehabilitation Project, and Meter Replacement Project.

At the meeting, the Town of Kaycee will present the scope of the three projects and will discuss the estimated cost associated with each project. Project cost estimates and the funding plan can also be reviewed at Kaycee Town Hall. Contact Kris LeDoux at (307)738-2301.

Based on current cost estimates, the Town of Kaycee plans to borrow $794,077 for the lead service line project, $460,000 for the tank rehabilitation project, and $250,000 for the meter replacement project from the Wyoming Drinking Water State Revolving Loan Fund, which the Wyoming Office of State Lands and Investments administers. Town of Kaycee Capital Improvement Funds will repay the loan; there is no expected change to user rates. It is anticipated that there will be between 50% to 75% principal forgiveness for the different loans. Loan terms will be 0.0% interest rate and 30 years for the lead service line project and 2.5% interest rate for 20 years for the standard drinking water loans for the tank rehabilitation and meter replacement project.
