Dear Friend,
I never thought I’d be writing something like this.
I’m not a lawyer. I’m not a politician. I’m just a wife who’s terrified of losing her husband forever.
Which is why I’m having to do something I never wanted to, and ask someone I’ve never met for help. Would you donate today to help defend my husband against unjust criminal charges?
My husband, Officer Alfred Flores, spent nearly 15 years serving San Antonio, protecting the very community he grew up in.
He’s been commended by local citizens and even churches for his dedication to helping others.
But now… he’s been charged with first-degree murder.
Yes, murder.
All because he made a split-second decision to protect innocent lives when a violent, unstable woman threatened him, his fellow officers, and an elderly, bedridden resident trapped inside the same apartment.
Let me tell you what actually happened.
It was June 23, 2023.
Alfred was called to a home after the fire department reported a woman behaving erratically. She had been having a schizophrenic episode, cut the fire alarms to an entire apartment building, and was barricading herself inside.
She threw objects at officers. She threatened them with a hammer. She screamed, “Shoot me!”
Inside that same apartment was an elderly, bedridden resident—someone who couldn’t escape if she decided to set the building on fire.
For over 20 minutes, officers tried to talk her down. She refused. She became more aggressive.
Finally, Alfred and his team attempted to enter through the back patio, with officers armed with non-lethal options leading the way. But as they climbed over the gate, the woman charged at them with the hammer raised high.
In that terrifying moment, boxed in, no room to escape, Alfred feared for his life and the lives of his fellow officers.
He fired.
It was the only option he had to stop the immediate threat.
And now, instead of being treated like the hero he is, he’s being treated like a criminal.
Bexar County District Attorney Joe Gonzales, backed by radical progressive groups, wants to send Alfred to prison for the rest of his life.
If they succeed, my husband—the man who kisses me goodnight, who holds my hand through every storm we’ve faced, who has dedicated his entire life to protecting others—will spend decades behind bars for doing his job.
Friend, we’ve already drained our savings. We’ve already sold what we can. And the legal bills keep coming.
I’m humbling myself to ask you:
Will you help us fight back before it’s too late?
Your donation today could be the difference between Alfred coming home to us… or spending the rest of his life in prison.
Please, if you believe in standing with those who protect us, I’m begging you to step up now.
