Advisory: Representatives Adriano Espaillat, Nydia Velázquez, and Dan Goldman Demand ICE Accountability at MDC Brooklyn
Press Conference to Follow Facility Visit
NEW YORK, NY — Today, Representatives Adriano Espaillat, Nydia Velázquez, and Dan Goldman will conduct a Congressional oversight visit to the ICE detention facility at MDC Brooklyn at 9:00 a.m.
The leaders have been vocal in opposition to the Trump Administration’s immigration agenda, including its extreme enforcement practices and masking by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents. They will be joined by immigration advocates, the New York Immigration Coalition (NYIC) and the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), during this visit.
The Members of Congress will hold a press gaggle immediately following their tour of the facility.

Representative Espaillat is the first Dominican American to serve in the U.S. House of Representatives and his congressional district includes Harlem, East Harlem, West Harlem, Hamilton Heights, Washington Heights, Inwood, Marble Hill and the north-west Bronx.
