Okay, John, I don’t like sugar-coating things, so here’s the deal.

My campaign is up against a dark money group willing to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars to keep me from winning. They’re spreading lies about my record of service to my community, and I need your help to fight back.

With the end-of-quarter deadline looming, my campaign needs another $30,000 to hit our goal and make sure our TV and digital ads, mail, and organizing can turn out the voters we need to finish what we started back in March.

It’s so important that we win this election in two weeks because flipping this battleground district blue in November is going to be a battle, and I know what it takes to win it.

I’ve faced battle my whole life, and each time, I’ve taken them head-on. From being told I couldn’t be a pilot because of my gender to lifting veterans out of poverty right here in Texas, I know what a real battle looks like, and I’m ready for this one.
