John — Donald Trump thinks solving the cost-of-living crisis is “woke”. Does that sound crazy? Because it is crazy! It’s also sadly true. Hi, I’m Kyle Sweetser, and Blue Amp Action, and I want you to know what Trump’s doing to my home state of Alabama. When Trump assaulted programs meant to tackle structural inequities and lower costs of living, he wasn’t “saving America.” What he actually did was throw Alabama into the dumpster fire and lock up the fire extinguishers. He’s making Americans pay an extra $100 for electricity because he canceled a utility grant program. He ripped up a federal mandate to address the sewage crisis here down South, leaving us behind to rot in wastewater. And his cronies, including Alabama’s current senators, have done nothing to fight back. We deserve someone who will fight this chaos, not puppets who will greenlight Trump’s disastrous policies that make Americans struggle even more! That’s why I’m running to be Alabama’s next Senator — it’s time someone puts us first.
What I know now is this: Trump was never for middle America or rural America or anyone like you and me. He only cares about his billionaire buddies. Now, Alabama has a chance to lead a strong Southern fight and stand up to Trump’s bullying. I’m fighting for an Alabama where every family can thrive, where we can access quality education and good-paying jobs, where we have reliable wastewater systems and clean water to drink, and where we don't have to worry about paying for electricity when someone gets sick.
