I was born and raised in Athens, Georgia… the son of two teachers, Barbara and Vince Dooley.

I’ve spent the last 30 years leading young people and trying to make a positive impact in their lives. I sat in the living room with people from all walks of life – from every race, religion, income level, and political belief. They all had a story – they all had dreams and they all had struggles – and for many of them, football in America was a way out.

It gave them hope. It gave them a future. It gave them a sense of purpose.
