No matter who you talk to, most Americans — Democrat or Republican — would agree on this: Our government needs MAJOR reform.

We’ve watched members of Congress sell stocks just minutes after gaining access to confidential information. We’ve watched shady lobbying firms and big corporations rig the system against working-class families. And we’ve watched Donald Trump pardon corporate executives convicted of financial crimes.

This is not how America is supposed to work — so I’m fighting back:

I’ve spent my entire career taking on fraud and corruption — first as an SEC prosecutor, and now as Chair of the Progressive Caucus’ brand-new anti-corruption task force. I know we can build a better, more transparent democracy, but I’m going to need your help to do it. So please, can you chip in to help me defend CA-47, flip control of Congress, and restore faith in our government?

When far-right politicians continue to place the rich and powerful above the law, it’s no wonder why trust in the government is at an all-time low.

Look, democracies fail when people stop having faith in the system. So when Donald Trump directs millions of dollars in taxpayer money to his own properties and accepts gifts of private jets from foreign governments, it isn’t just a slap in the face to the American people.

It’s an attack on our democracy itself.

I won’t stay silent as Trump and his corrupt Republican enablers loot our government for their own gain. But since I don’t take a dime of corporate PAC money, I need your help to keep up the fight.
