As Congress is in August recess, we wanted to share a quick update on what Jared’s been working on in Washington and some updates from the campaign trail.

Here’s the latest on what’s been happening:

DEFENDING WORKERS’ RIGHTS

Jared stood with union leaders to force a vote on his bill to restore collective bargaining rights for federal workers. More than 1 million Americans had their rights stripped away by one of President Trump’s executive orders. Jared is fighting back.

EDUCATION FUNDING

When the Department of Education withheld critical federal funding from schools here in Maine and around the country, Jared took action. He demanded the funds be released immediately, which happened just in the nick of time before kids go back to school.

FUNDRAISING

In a strong sign of grassroots momentum, we outraised Paul LePage in the recent fundraising reports and proved we’re ready for the fight ahead. It’s clear: Mainers are backing Jared’s results-driven leadership over LePage’s chaos and extremism.

RECENT POLLING

Two new polls show the race is statistically tied. This is going to come down to the wire and it could be decided by just a few thousand votes. The outcome will determine whether Democrats can take back the Speaker’s gavel. Every dollar matters in the fight to defend this seat and protect our values.
