These are no ordinary times, team . I believe elected leaders should work to create safety, prosperity and opportunity for every American. Republicans in Washington don’t seem to share that sense of duty.
When I look at what’s happening in Washington now, lawmakers are tearing down our middle class to put even more money in billionaires’ pockets. They’re cutting critical jobs at agencies that help keep our country running. Not even our National Parks or Weather Service are safe.
They’re punching down — attacking the most vulnerable among us — to make themselves seem strong. Something has to give.
There’s another path, team. When I was Governor of North Carolina, we expanded Medicaid. We passed pay raises for public school teachers and we built a strong economy by investing in clean energy and investing in our people.
Washington can look like this, too. It’s time to elect leaders who are ready to do the hard work of strengthening our middle class, restoring voting rights and reproductive rights, protecting our environment and ensuring every child has the excellent education they deserve.

Contributions or gifts to The Real Texas PAC are not tax deductible. Contributions from corporations, labor organizations, treasury funds, and federal government contractors are prohibited. Only U.S. citizens or legal permanent residents are eligible to contribute. An Individual can contribute up to $5,000 to The Real Texas PAC per calendar year. Married couples may together give a total of $10,000 per calendar year. Federal political action committees (PACs) can contribute up to $5,000 per calendar year. The first $5,000 contributed in a calendar year from federally permissible sources will be deposited in The Real Texas PAC's contribution account.
