My Fellow American,
I don’t mind telling you that I grow a little fearful about our country’s future when I watch the news.
But then, I take a look at the legions of Hillsdale College’s supporters like you, and our bright and ambitious student body, and it boosts my confidence.
I take heart knowing that there are so many young people learning about liberty, the Constitution, and the free market as part of their Hillsdale education.
I take heart knowing that there are thousands of supporters willing to give—and give generously—to our mission to reach and teach Americans nationwide.
And I take heart knowing that there are millions of people just like you who want to see the principles Hillsdale was founded upon 175 years ago endure.
Those principles attracted me to Hillsdale College as a student (Go Class of 2001!) and led me to work here for almost a decade.
With your support, Hillsdale provides all who wish to learn the kind of education needed to maintain “the inestimable blessings of civil and religious liberty.”
Because of your giving, Hillsdale is the only educational institution in the country that can reach and teach millions of Americans about our great heritage of liberty.
Your gifts fund scholarships for nearly 1,600 undergraduate and graduate students who attend Hillsdale College, and help us educate millions with educational outreach efforts, like free online courses, the Barney Charter School Initiative, and Imprimis.
But our work is not yet finished. And in 2020—a critical year for our country—we need your help now more than ever.
Friend, will you give to ensure Hillsdale’s principles and purpose endure with a generous fiscal year-end gift today?
Your gift will also count toward our 2020 fiscal year-end goal of raising $500,000 by midnight on June 30.
You can give your best tax-deductible gift at this secure webpage: https://secured.hillsdale.edu/hillsdale/hillsdale-fye-2020
All of our work depends on your support because Hillsdale refuses to accept ONE PENNY of government funding—not even indirectly in the form of federal or state student loans and grants. NOT. ONE. PENNY.
Everything you do to support the College and help educate the next generation of principled American leaders is greatly appreciated, and my colleagues and I are deeply grateful for it.
With gratitude,
Bill Gray
