- Meanwhile, Sen. John Cornyn (R) is calling on the FBI to get involved. Cornyn sent a letter today to FBI Director Kash Patel, asking him to take “any appropriate steps to aid in Texas state law enforcement efforts to locate or arrest potential lawbreakers who have fled the state.”

- Arizona Secretary of State Adrian Fontes (D) released ([link removed] ) an updated election procedures manual. Notably, it omits two pro-voting provisions included in the previous version — provisions a federal court blocked following lawsuits filed by right-wing groups.

The Trump admin is turning local police into ICE agents

- The Trump administration is transforming ([link removed] ) local police into ICE agents with minimal training, using an obscure provision in a decades-old law that allows ICE to delegate immigration enforcement authority to local departments.
