Out and About in Richmond:
Senator Warner joined May Nivar in Henrico County to knock doors in support of her campaign for the House of Delegates. This competitive race will help decide control of the Virginia House, which is why Senator Warner also enlisted the help of our Team Warner Fellows to canvass and energize voters. With less than 100 days left until Election Day in Virginia, it’s more important than ever to get out in your community and support Democrats up and down the ballot.
Later in the day, Senator Warner sat down with the Team Warner Fellows for a roundtable discussion, where he heard about the issues keeping their generation up at night. From abortion rights to climate change, the discussion made it clear that the pressing issues facing our country require bold leadership. Senator Warner is confident that we’re in good hands with these young leaders at the helm.

Rescissions Package:
Last month, Congressional Republicans voted to cancel $9 billion in previously-approved, bipartisan funding for public broadcasting and foreign aid.
Republicans slammed this partisan mess through the Senate with just 51 votes. Senator Warner tried to work with his Republican colleagues to convince them to do the right thing, but almost all of them bent to Donald Trump and his reckless agenda.
That’s why it’s so important to speak out and hold your Republican representatives accountable. And it’s why Democrats must back the Senate next year. We know we’re in a tough moment, but stay in the fight, we need you in it more than ever.
