I hope you saw my email below. Free Press is happy to see Twitter doing more to enforce its own policies by banning Katie Hopkins, a well-known British white supremacist.
But a spotty approach that bans one white supremacist and flags a couple of Trump tweets is far from enough.
These actions are signs that our pressure campaign is working — but we need support from people like you to hold Twitter and other social-media platforms accountable. Donate today to help us keep the pressure on and demand comprehensive, consistent action against hate on social media.
Donald Trump continues to use Twitter as his platform of choice for spreading hate and inciting violence. And many known white supremacists, Trump chief among them, continue to have free rein on the platform.
Please donate now to help us tell Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey: The time for real action is now. Stop white supremacy on Twitter once and for all.
Thanks for everything you do,

Friend,
UPDATE: Twitter has banned Katie Hopkins — an infamous British white supremacist who used the platform to incite violence against Black and Brown people and religious minorities.
Her tweets were so vile that Free Press and our allies in the Change the Terms coalition called her out several1 times2 over the last year to show how Twitter was failing to enforce its rules and needed to ban white supremacists.
In a statement, Twitter said that Hopkins’ account has been “permanently suspended for violations of our hateful conduct policy.”3 This move was unthinkable six months ago and is a testament to the work that activists have done to push Twitter to ban white supremacists from its platform.
The pressure is working and we have to keep it up. Could you donate today and help support our ongoing efforts to hold social-media companies accountable?
Banning Katie Hopkins was a step in the right direction, but there are still tons of white supremacists who use Twitter as a tool to organize and normalize hate.
And at the top of the list is Donald Trump.
Trump has used Twitter to foment hate and violence against people of color for years. Most recently, he’s weaponized the platform to incite violence against Black protesters who are demanding the end of state-sanctioned violence against Black people. He constantly violates Twitter’s terms of service and it’s past time for the company to take away his microphone.
Can’t donate? Sign our petition calling on Twitter to ban Donald Trump.
Thanks for all that you do—

P.S. As long as Twitter’s allowing Trump’s account to remain, it’s endangering its users. Tell Twitter to ban Donald Trump.
