We’re not even through the first year of Trump’s administration. But it’s clear that when we finally get this wannabe-dictator out of office, we’re going to have a lot of work to do to get our climate agenda back on track.

He’s rolled back all kinds of effective climate and environmental protections as a gift to corporate polluters.

His Big Ugly Bill bill cut billions in tax credits for clean energy projects that have been modernizing our energy grid and creating tens of thousands of good-paying union American jobs.

And now, Trump’s administration has announced that they plan to revoke the Environmental Protection Agency’s legal authority to regulate greenhouse gases entirely.

Trump is tying the EPA’s hands behind its back and throwing away our future so he can line the pockets of the fossil fuel lobby.

If we can’t regulate harmful emissions at a federal level, we will lose our ability as a nation to respond to the climate crisis at the speed and scale we need.

We are already seeing the effects of a rapidly changing climate all around us — record-breaking summer heat, devastating wild fires, deadly flash foods, strengthening hurricanes, and more.

It’s our responsibility to our communities, our country, and the entire world that America puts dirty fossil fuels behind us and commits to a cleaner future. We have to keep up the fight for a Green New Deal that can do just that.

But that starts with defeating Trump and the MAGA-majorities in Congress who work at the behest of Big Oil instead of the people and our planet.

Chip in $5 to support my campaign and our entire climate movement as we take on Trump. I have been a leader on climate in the Senate because I understand the existential danger of inaction. We can’t afford to give up on this important fight.
