John,
In the 2024 presidential election, just 100 billionaire families spent a record $2.6 billion―mostly to elect right-wing anti-democracy candidates who put billionaires’ tax breaks ahead of the needs of everyday people.
Anti-Palestinian lobbying group AIPAC spent more than $100 million in 2024, including more than $25 million to defeat Reps. Cori Bush and Jamaal Bowman, making their primary elections the two most expensive in U.S. history. The group’s increasing spending is the largest source of Republican money interfering in Democratic primaries.
This influx of billionaire spending drowns out the voices of everyday voters, making it virtually impossible for working-class candidates to run for office and win.
Now, Donald Trump has appointed a cabinet of billionaires who are completely out of touch with the needs of everyday people:
Can you sign today to demand Congress act to limit the influence of Big Money in politics and hand the power back to the people?
Even with the richest man in the world, Elon Musk, falling out of favor with Trump, the wealth of Trump’s cabinet far outpaces that of any previous presidential administration.
So, it comes as no surprise that they’re dismantling everything from public education to the Social Security Administration to Medicare and Medicaid, just to pay for tax breaks for the rich and to power Trump’s illegal, inhumane mass deportation scheme.
They’re even dismantling the IRS to allow billionaires and multi-millionaires to cheat on their taxes to the tune of hundreds of billions of dollars each year.
They say we can’t afford investments in public services, but what they really mean is they’re happy to provide trillions of dollars in tax breaks to the ultra-wealthy and corporations while 15 million people lose their health insurance and tens of thousands of people die preventable deaths each year.
Add your name now to demand Congress act to get Big Money out of politics.
Together, we’re demanding a government of, by, and for the people, not the billionaires.
With you in this fight,
Rashida
