We need Black women to lead the way out of the disastrous Trump era
My friends,
Protecting our country’s most vulnerable is the only way that America will prosper.
And we can only do that if we defend Democrats’ most vulnerable seats in 2026. Representatives Jahana Hayes, Janelle Bynum, and Emilia Skyes are my sisters and colleagues in the Congressional Black Caucus, and we must do our part to defend them in these toss-up races.
These “Frontline” races have been identified by experts and Democratic leaders alike as the ones Republicans are most likely to sink millions of dollars into flipping. And if we know anything about Trump’s GOP, it’s that they love beating Black women.
Yvette Clarke is the ONLY Black woman representing New York in Washington. As Chair of the Congressional Black Caucus, she’s brought together moderates and progressives to pass legislation that helps communities of color, low-income families, immigrants, and more. If you'd like only the most important updates, you can opt for fewer emails here, but if you don't want to keep Yvette proudly representing Brooklyn, you can unsubscribe.
