Hey John – Have you seen what’s been going on in Texas?

In case you missed it, here’s a three point summary:

1. Republicans passed a heinous bill a few weeks ago giving tax cuts to billionaires while kicking MILLIONS of people off Medicaid and food assistance.
2. They’re nervous this bill could result in them losing votes and seats.
3. Trump backed a plan by Texas State Republicans to redraw their Congressional maps in their favor.

These new maps would eliminate 5 Democratically-held seats, and gerrymander the state for the next decade.

You deserve a representative who will not only represent you, but will also be prepared to fight for what’s right. Redrawing maps to eliminate the voters’ power is NOT RIGHT. It is fundamentally opposed to the basis of our democracy.

I’m running for Congress to give the power back to you – but I need you in this fight if we want to succeed. Will you rush a contribution right now to stand in support of free and fair elections?

I spent 2017-2022 working with a nonpartisan, voting rights advocacy organization based here in Michigan. We successfully ended partisan gerrymandering in Michigan.
