An important update from Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington

John -

CREW’s ongoing investigation into the influence of Trump’s customers just uncovered more than 300 pages of records into a major scandal at the VA.

The damning records show that career VA employees were forced to waste taxpayer resources and time to work with a trio of Mar-a-Lago members—purely because of their connections to Trump.

None of the men have ever worked for the government, nor do they have any specific expertise on the policies they insisted they be allowed to shape at one of the largest agencies in the government. VA staff were understandably frustrated and “baffled” as they dealt with questions from one of the Mar-a-Lago members that were “just ridiculous.”

The highest levels of the VA should not have to waste time humoring President Trump’s paying customers. But this is not just another one of Trump’s 2,310 business conflicts—this is a scandal with massive government contracts and veterans’ health initiatives at stake.

Access to the president through his clubs should never determine the resources that are available to the American people. These records show that no department is beyond the reach of Trump’s corruption.

Please take a moment to read this story so that it does not get lost in the constant stream of shocking news out of the White House.

CREW sends hundreds of Freedom of Information Act requests each year to bring corruption like this to light. If you can, make a donation to support our ongoing investigations like this one.

Thank you for your continued support,
