Hey JOhn,
Congress is on recess right now.
We got sent home early so the House GOP can go hide away from accountability. They ran away to avoid voting to release the Epstein files, and many don’t even have a single Town Hall planned.
Not me. For many of us, this recess isn’t fun and games, it’s actually a necessary and valuable time to engage with our voters in-district and hear directly from them about how we’re doing and what they want me to focus on when I head back to Washington.
Instead of hiding behind office doors, I’ll be out engaging with our community throughout Virginia.
I want to hear your ideas, your concerns, and your top issues – all about your opinions of Love Island, anything, really.
But I also need your help. While my GOP colleagues may be hiding away from their constituents, they’re also making plans to keep the House in 2026. They’re trying to eliminate 5 Democratic seats by gerrymandering Texas — and now, Texas Democratic lawmakers are taking extraordinary action to fight back, shine a national spotlight on Republicans’ blatant partisan power grab, and foil their illegal redistricting plan.
I don’t take this lightly – redistricting in a partisan way is the antithesis of a democracy, it’s a way to suppress voters. I should know, in 2020, I voted for a constitutional amendment to create the Redistricting Commission here in Virginia. Now, I serve in a district that was fairly drawn by this commission.
