ACTION ALERT ⚑ RALLY! We deserve a budget, and we deserve transit service!
Jack, Senate Republicans are holding Pennsylvania's budget hostage, including crucial investments in affordable housing, education, and public transportation.
This crisis affects everyone. Cuts to transit service and school funding are certain if Senate leadership doesn't get back to Harrisburg and finish the budget.
How can we win funding for our critical services? By organizing together! Join us and 412 Justice [[link removed]] for a rally calling for a state budget--one that funds affordable housing, public schools, and public transit that moves every Pennsylvanian forward. [[link removed]]
When : Monday, August 11th, 10-11 AM
Where : City-county building portico, 414 Grant Street, Pittsburgh PA 15219

PPT's Board Elections are open, and we need your vote!
Did you know PPT's Board of Directors is democratically elected from our membership each year? That means the people guiding our organization are the ones doing the work, building community, and living as expert transit riders every day.
In order for this beautiful feature of our community to work, we need your vote! Please vote on our board candidates by August 13th, 2025. [[link removed]] The final day of voting is the day of our party ( have you signed up yet?! [[link removed]] ), and we'll accept in-person ballots there as well.

Bus stop summer is in full swing, bringing your community new shelters!
Our recent bus stop audit blitz was a smash hit! 15 PPT members measured stops in 4 regions of the City, and identified a handful of excellent candidates for new bus shelters. We'll be working with the City of Pittsburgh's Department of Mobility and Infrastructure (DOMI) to bring new shelters to these locations. Big props to the members who volunteered an evening to get up close and personal with the bus stop shelter permitting process! We learned a lot and had a lot of fun cruising through the city together. ❀️
Do you know a bus stop that needs a shelter? Fill out our form [[link removed]] , and we'll let DOMI know!
In coordination with DOMI, we're collecting information from you--the expert transit riders!--to identify stops that desperately need a shelter. Have folks put out DIY chairs and shade structures at a stop on your commute? Is your stop always chock-full of waiting riders with nowhere to rest? Help us tell DOMI you need a shelter!
