Dem lawmakers leave Texas to thwart corrupt Republican scheme

THE GUARDIAN: It's really theft: the Republican plan to redraw Texas maps - and grab more power.

UPDATE: Texas Republicans desperate to shield Trump from the will of voters have issued arrest warrants for the heroic Texas Democratic lawmakers that left the state to block Republicans' corrupt plan to redraw voting maps.

This isn't a drill. Trump and his Republican allies are trying to steal 5 congressional seats to rig Congress for years to come. In response to their patriotic stand, these lawmakers are being threatened with arrest and fined $500-a-day – and they are legally banned from using campaign accounts to pay the fines.

Their ability to stay the course is CRITICAL.

The Houston Chronicle reports that Beto O’Rourke’s organization, Powered by People, is providing the Dems with financial assistance with "every dollar pitched in going towards helping the Texas Democrats remain out of state" so they can continue to stand strong against Trump's power grab.

Will you rush a donation to Beto O’Rourke’s Powered by People PAC to directly support the Texas Democrats who are putting everything on the line to stop Trump's scheme?

If you've saved payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately and be split between Powered by People and the Progressive Change Campaign Committee.
