And yet, instead of confronting this epidemic, Congress adjourned early to avoid releasing reports that might embarrass Donald Trump—avoiding accountability and leaving communities across the country in harm’s way.
The federal government is abdicating its responsibility to keep us safe. From disbanding the Office of Gun Violence Prevention to rolling back enforcement policies that hold negligent gun dealers accountable, we are witnessing a deliberate dismantling of the tools we need to address this crisis.
