HEY john!

Over a decade ago I took a summer road trip in a van with my two dogs doing comedy benefits for and visiting abortion clinics. It changed my life forever, and led me to start Abortion Access Front (AAF).

This year is the 10th anniversary of AAF, today is my birthday, and I reaaallllly need something soul-restorative to salvage my birthday month! The daily 20-minute depersonalization vacations rage-screaming at the shower wall just aren’t cutting it. So I'm doing a mini clinic support tour with my new fur baby and emotional support pup Mr. Funk, (RIP Buddy and Edie)!

And to embark on this tour, I need your help!

Being a friend and champion for these clinics is core to our work at Abortion Access Front. Honestly, nothing brings us more joy than spreading some good vibes and TLC to our awe-inspiring abortion providers who keep abortion care accessible for thousands of folks across the nation.

Thanks to these providers PEOPLE ARE GETTING THE ABORTION CARE THEY NEED!  As shitty as the world is, we need to focus on the bright spots… and independent abortion providers are a shining beacon of hope and resistance.

So here’s my plan for 2025’s Lizz & Funk’s Excellent Adventure… I’m leaving NYC tomorrow and will spark a little joy for clinics as I travel to my summer oasis, the hotdish heaven of Minneapolis, MN. First stop is the Toledo Women’s Center in Ohio, where we will be making abortion after-care bags for patients and Mr. Funk will be sharing puppy love with the staff and volunteers.
