For more than a month, our photojournalist observed the efforts of Casa San José, a local nonprofit that has trained hundreds of volunteers to monitor and respond to immigration enforcement in the Pittsburgh region. We documented what we could see firsthand — including ICE restaurant raids, courthouse presence and late-night calls — to help the public better understand how federal immigration policy is carried out locally.
