Team,
In the midst of violent and unlawful attacks against immigrants, members of the U.S. House of Representatives reintroduced the so-called “Dignity Act.”
This version of the Dignity Act goes even further by denying millions of people a pathway to citizenship, while keeping tens of thousands of our community members and loved ones locked in private detention.
The vast majority of people around the country support a pathway to citizenship, and 80% of people understand that immigration is one of our country’s greatest strengths — supporting our labor force, our classrooms and lecture halls, and diversifying our communities.
Instead of delivering permanent protections for millions or drafting a bill that addressed mass militarized raids, unidentified police kidnappings, or the damaging reconciliation bill, Congress took the easy way out. Our communities deserve better.
This bill may have the word “dignity” in its title, but its impact is the exact opposite. Will you make a donation right now to help us as we call on Congress to reject breadcrumb bills and pass tangible solutions for undocumented people?
If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:
The respective merchants of record for transactions to United We Dream Network are ActBlue Charities Inc. They receive and process those donations and subsequently give them to the organization or cause indicated on the contribution form within 30 days. This donation is tax-deductible.
Working people are demanding that leaders deliver affordable healthcare, invest in education, stand up for life-saving food assistance programs, and create straightforward pathways to citizenship that respect the humanity of immigrants.
Our leaders can and must offer bold solutions that unapologetically turn the tide to protect the lives and rights of all working people.
Thanks for your support,
— Juliana, United We Dream
