Trump and Republicans just blew a massive $1.1 billion hole in Michigan’s budget.

Trump’s reckless tax cuts are about to strip more than $1.1 billion from Michigan’s operating budget this year alone. Meanwhile, Michigan House Republicans are dragging their feet and refuse to come to the table to find a solution in the state budget.

This means cuts to health care and food assistance for Michigan families and seniors, and road repairs and school funding at risk… all to give a giant tax giveaway to ultra-wealthy Republican donors.

Michigan Senate Democrats put forward a real budget solution to protect Michigan families, but MAGA Matt Hall and his Republican caucus are throwing political tantrums, refusing to negotiate, and holding the entire state hostage to appease Trump.

Michigan Democrats have a real solution, but MAGA Matt Hall is standing in the way. That’s why we need to work every single day to take back the majority of Michigan’s State House and keep a Democrat in the Governor’s office if we want to defend our schools, protect health care, and invest in Michigan’s future.
