Democrat Raja Krishnamoorthi here. Last night, I was proud to stand with courageous Texas Democrats in their fight against Donald Trump’s assault on Democracy.  

This is beyond the pale, John. Here’s what’s going on:

After Donald Trump personally demanded Republicans hand him *five* extra seats in the U.S. House, MAGA Republicans in Texas are rushing to banish Democrats from Congress by pushing through rigged maps. 

The truth is that Republicans are afraid that they’re going to lose the next election – if it’s fair. Instead of letting voters decide, Texas Republicans want to bend the knee to Trump’s authoritarian agenda.

But Democrats are fighting back.

Texas House Democrats are willing to go to the mat — to try anything — to fight for their constituents, and I’m proud to be fighting alongside them.

So when they came here to Illinois to BLOCK Trump’s MAGA takeover, I stood with them, with one simple message:

Don’t mess with Texas – and don’t mess with Democracy. 

But these brave Democrats are paying a price for their bold stand. Now, MAGA Republicans are threatening to fine, expel, and even arrest them.  

They won’t be intimidated, but they need you to stand with them in this fight.
