I’m not a politician. I haven’t spent a career climbing the political ladder or trying to be famous on social media or cable TV.
I’m a former coach. A lawyer. A husband. A father. A proud Georgian. And a conservative fighter.
I was born and raised in Athens, Georgia — the son of two teachers, Barbara and Vince Dooley.
My parents taught me that leadership is about character, showing up, and doing what’s right even when it’s hard.
And that’s what I’ve tried to live every day of my life.
Before coaching, I earned my law degree from the University of Georgia and practiced law right here in Atlanta.
But football was my passion, and I used it to lead and serve.
Over two decades, I coached young people from every background. And no matter where they came from, they all had one thing in common: They wanted a shot. A future. A reason to believe in something bigger than themselves.
That’s what football gave them. That’s what America gave me.
Derek Dooley is running for U.S. Senate because we need a Georgia First fighter.
Someone who is not afraid to stand up to the Washington elites and put the future of hardworking families FIRST.
He’s not a politician. He’s a coach, husband, dad, and a conservative outsider who spent nearly 30 years on the football field helping young people chase the American Dream.
