Recently, President Trump signed a harmful budget bill into law that poses a direct threat to health care access and equity. Among its impacts:

15 million people will lose coverage through Medicaid or the marketplaces.
Millions more will face higher premiums, increased cost-sharing, and bureaucratic barriers.
Services will be slashed, and vulnerable community institutions from rural hospitals and maternity wards to Planned Parenthood clinics and nursing homes will be at risk.
Families across the country will also face economic hardship, food insecurity, and increased surveillance by immigration enforcement.
