Hi John xxxxxx, it’s Wes Moore.
I am a combat veteran, a father, and the first Black governor of Maryland.
I’m writing to show you how far we’ve come since I was first elected in
November of 2022. It’s been a long, tough journey, but we’ve accomplished
so much for Maryland together.

continue doing more to make this Maryland’s decade?
We’ve made real progress in building our vision for Maryland:
* Record public school funding,
* Supporting federal workers,
* Passing bipartisan public safety reforms,
* And more.
Here’s the catch: Maryland has only elected one other Democratic governor
in the last 20 years. With Trump targeting states like ours, we can’t take
anything for granted.
In case you were wondering, here’s what it looked like three years ago
when Maryland had a
Republican governor. He vetoed…
* An increased minimum wage,
* Landmark education reform and expansion of pre-K,
* Better sick leave and paid medical and family leave,
* And background checks to prevent gun violence.
If we want to keep moving forward — and protect everything we’ve built —
